[EVERYONE MUST READ AND REPLY] The problem with the forum

Please note: I am not talking about everyone even though i make it sound like that sometime. There are some really good and loyal people who have nothing to do with this. Take that in mind when you're reading this.

Purpose of the forum
Just to point this out what is the purpose of the forum? The purpose of the forum is that I can ask you guys and give you guys important information without having to talk to each one of you in person. This saves a lot of time since I don't have to ask or say the same thing 15 times.

The problem
Just to make this clear this is not about the screeenshot topic itself, I am just bringing it up since it is the most recent example of the problem we have been experiecing for long.

I asked you guys to send me a screenshot that you feel is a good memory to you or that is just of something awesome or funny. When I got no answers to that I started to assume things. I of course assumed that nobody wants to or don't have any screenshots, and I am perfectly fine with that. But when I met some of you in-game and brought it up, i all of sudden got 3 PM's containing a couple of screenshots.

So what's the problem here guys? Do you see it? is there a purpose to have a forum if things work like this? let me know.

How to fix the problem
The most important thing you have to do  to avoid things like this is to use your brain. You need to figure out if the question relates to you. A question that relates to you is a question that would make any sort of sense for you to answer.

Press for some examples:

If the question relates to you this means that you should only ignore the question if you would have done the same if I asked you this question on the server directly to you.

The second most important thing you guys can do to avoid things like this is to once again use your brain to figure out if it is important enough for you to answer the question or if it simply means a lot for the other person. If you consider the question to be important enough to answer or if you understand how important the question is to the person asking it, then I see no reason why you shouldn't answer it.

The third most important thing to talk about is don't have the attitude of only answering things you are forced to answer. Would it be fun if I for example had to write: EVERY ADMIN HAS TO READ AND ANSWER THIS QUESTION: How are you? for me to get a response on the server. That wouldn't feel good on the server and it doesn't feel good to have this on the forum.

Last thoughts
The thing is guys I don't want to make the rule: Everything angels writes in the news and information section has to be replied to. But is it better to go by this rule instead: Everything that angel asks and write shall be ignored unless he forces us to read/answer it or tells us in-game. Think about that. I hope I've made my point. I don't wanna waste more time writing this, since it probably isn't worth it.


So in conclusion if the question relates to you, answer it, don't ignore it. it is just rude to ignore it. The only time you should ignore a question is if the question either don't relate to you or if the question is not important to you and the person who asked it didn't provide a proper motivation why the question is important.

If there is anything you wanna discuss please do so and seriously speaking be respectful. If you're gonna rage or throw insults at me, it doesn't matter how good of a friend of mine you are or how long I've known you, I will kick you out of the staff regardless. I'm sick of attitudes like that.
