It's worth checking out, since I go into details about rel006. Once again, I am sorry for making a joke topic into a discussion topic, but that's kinda what I do.

2. Today I finished the final version of the basic script, which works as a first release. Yes, it took very long. Some reasons are due to me spending me more scripting time on adding content instead of converting old stuff, but some of it was to VC-MP bugs. I admit that I work on rel006 from time to time, but not very often.

3. I can happily announce that I've managed to find the cause behind the memory leaks that I discovered in the spawn screen and when being in camera mode.

Let me explain everything. Whenever your camera changes position like for example on the spawn screen, in some of my job scripts and when you use F11. The camera is or can be placed so that it can see things behind the player. In our server, there are two pickups that are actually relatively close to the player and that is also located behind the player (a star and health icon, /gotoloc player and see for yourself). Those pickups are located behind some buildings and you can't technically see them from the spawn screen. But if you would, for example, remove all buildings you would see them at the spawn screen.

So apparently for some these two pickups are causing download rate leaks (which means more lag), the more you stay on the spawn screen the higher your download rate becomes. I don't have a poor internet connection and I don't have time to wait 24 hours on the spawn screen to verify how bad a high download rate is, but I would imagine that most users here would maybe lose most of the internet after being at the spawn screen for 5-10 minutes without spawning.

How to fix this? The developers of VC-MP must fix the bug, there is no way around it.

I can avoid the bug as much as possible because I discovered that you must be in the same world as the pickup for the bug to trigger. What that means is that I can just simply move all world 1 pickups (which should only be two) away from the spawn screen and that will take care of the issue in world 1.

However, since you guys can make your own properties and pickups. It will be tricky to fix it in custom properties. But maybe we can just ignore because it's not very likely it will happen.

I've made it so the help icons only exist in world 1 now to decrease the likelihood of this bug occurring.

Then the problem will be of selfie mode as well. But maybe we can ignore that for now, since most of you using it, won't be in it for very long.

My job scripts might also cause some issues if I happen to change the camera in some situations and the pickups being there. But if I am to be honest I think most of you can survive staying the camera mode for 5-10 minutes at least. I'll talk to one of beta testers who knows a lot about download rate.




4. Why is this a big issue for VKs and not for other servers:
- The other servers don't have pickups that are placed behind the player on the spawn screen that is relatively close to him and that is also close to the players view distance.
- The other servers don't let players add pickups wherever they want, or even let them add them at all.
- Other servers don't use player.SetCamera very often or even have a selfie camera.

Did you mean if vks consume 100mbs of per day then after update it will 200mbs or change of ping.
If those tow picks are too irritating then why not to remove them

I don't really get it. If, we stay on the spawn screen then there will be a lag. And when we spawned then the lag will be cleared?

I will not remove them, I'll move them. But you don't understand the issue here. The issue is with the spawn screen, F11 (camera mode) and any script I make where the camera has to change.

I can fix the spawn screen one in world 1, but not in properties since the placement of pickups are up to the owners.

Camera mode can't be fixed, you just have to live with that and hopefully no one stays in it for too long. I think most of you can handle staying in it for 5-10 minutes.

About my scripts: That's harder to say I have to go through everytime I change the camera and check if there is any lag. But most likely there won't be much unless pickups are around.

1- You can change spawn screen location.
2- Out of 500 properties only few has pickups behind that location (spawn screen)
3- I didn't care about it because Zong offers 5Gb internet only for Rs.160 per week. xD

1. No lol. I am quite busy so I am not going to repeat myself again. I'll just say for the third time: It's about more than just the spawn screen and regardless of where I put it, players can still trigger the bug in properties if they place pickups close to it. Changing spawn screen? Not only is that something I don't want since I feel like the spawn screen is iconic to VKs, it would also not solve the issue.

2. It's still a problem though, which is why I brought it up. We might be able to ignore it since it won't happen so often or we might have to do something abotu it.

3. 5 GB... The best right now is like 1000 MBits = 1 GB. I assume you mean mobile data? Either way, I got a decent internet connection, but I know most people literally got 25 times slower internet than me.

I'll just say for the third time: It's about more than just the spawn screen and regardless of where I put it, players can still trigger the bug in properties if they place pickups close to it. The slowest you can get in my country is like 100 dude. That's what I am saying. 8 was acceptable maybe 10 years ago.

"Your server still makes me lag" how am I supposed to interpret what you mean by that? Are you telling me that my script is laggy or are you just saying that because your ping is high or because VC-MP is out of sync? Also, you have to note that rel003 is in terms of sync is a lot different than rel006.

If you want to talk down on my work then I am sorry because I don't have the energy to listen to you. Most of my scripts don't even affect lag and the ones that do (like timers) takes less than 6 ms to run out of 1000 ms available. I am also constantly trying to find them if you have any reports where lag occurs let me know.
