Re: Merry Christmas From VU.
I will not wish Merry Christmas since I am a Muslim, And many mislead Muslims don't know that when they are wishing Merry Christmas, they are saying/believing that Jesus (Prophet Isa) Is the begotten Son of Allah Astagfirullah, Since that is basically the meaning of Merry Christmas
But we know according to the Qur'an that he is a Prophet, Also. He cannot be the Son of Allah Since Allah is Self Sufficient, He does not have any partners, nor did he have any children.
So my Muslim brothers, please take advice from this.

The Quran teaches us to respect all religions. If others can wish us Eid Mubarak then how don't we not have enough respect to their religion to wish them on their days of celebration?

You don't have to celebrate a holiday because of a religion, we do it out of tradition. It's a time of the year where we meet our family, Exchange present and eat good food. When you say Merry Christmas, you basically wish that person a good time, I am sure your religion doesn't disallow you to say things with good intentions.

But if you read correctly, The meaning of Merry Christmas is the biggest abuse towards Allah, We know that Jesus is not the Son of God, He is a Prophet, but when you are wishing 'Merry Christmas' The meaning of Merry Christmas is Celebrating the Birth of Jesus, Believing that Jesus is the Son of God Astagfirullah, So, Since that word is a big abuse towards Allah, we are not allowed to wish others 'Merry Christmas'.

You religious nerds... Who told you Allah was the Son of God? If Jesus and Allah were alive, they'd be best friends and not enemies. So, stop acting like a ... and start behaving like a true Muslim, if you're one. Stop this fight, and if you want to continue, don't involve me, I'm not gonna reply unless its necessary.=KF=Thunder^ wrote:4K. wrote:=KF=Thunder^ wrote:I will not wish Merry Christmas since I am a Muslim, And many mislead Muslims don't know that when they are wishing Merry Christmas, they are saying/believing that Jesus (Prophet Isa) Is the begotten Son of Allah Astagfirullah, Since that is basically the meaning of Merry Christmas

Allah is God, How can Allah be the Son of God, Nerd, Fix your Noob English. Also, We believe that Jesus (Prophet Isa) is still alive, (He is within the Heavens) Because one of the major signs of reaching the end time of this world is that Prophet Isa will be sent down to Earth by Allah, And everyone will be following him,

My thoughts: If there is a creator that hates or doesn't forgive people with the wrong beliefs, I personally would rather burn in hell. If your god feels offended by basically a happy birthday wish, is that the perfect god then? To me a perfect god would tell everyone: Hey there human, you are not perfect and you've made many mistakes, but I know there is good in you and I therefor welcome you to paradise. What kind of douchebag would a god be, if he sends people with different beliefs and opinions to hell? Not a perfect one to me at least.
I am not religious at all. I don't believe in anything and is just glad to live. Isn't that my right? If a god sent me to hell for it, I would laugh and say: I have friends with different opinions and beliefs that goes against mine and I still love them, If you send me to hell you should applaud yourself because you've created something better than yourself.

Wishing Merry Christmas is not just like wishing a birthday, the meaning is also that Jesus is the Son of God, which we don't believe in Islam.

I'm not saying we should follow the traditions Christians do on this day, similar to people of other religions would not sacrifice a goat or any other animal on Eid, but we can still wish each other Eid mubarak or Merry Christmas to share happiness and celebrate a day in joy. To clear my point there is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas because celebrating means to just share happiness and joy, it doesn't specifically mean to fulfill all the traditions we're supposed to on the day. People from other religions have enough respect to wish us Eid mubarak, our Religion specifically teaches us to be respectful to other religions so why can't we wish them a day of joy?

The Quran teaches us to respect all religions. If others can wish us Eid Mubarak then how don't we not have enough respect to their religion to wish them on their days of celebration?
but when you are wishing 'Merry Christmas' The meaning of Merry Christmas is Celebrating the Birth of Jesus, Believing that Jesus is the Son of God Astagfirullah
Only the first part you said is true in that phrase, and it is true that Prophet Isa was born on the 25th and the day a Prophet is born it is known as a day of Salam so nothing wrong is celebrating the day.
From what I understand, you are saying there is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas? Please tell me if I am wrong.
Celebrating Christmas is Shirk brother, Which is a very major sin in Islam, I expected better from you Ghost. If Allah has made something Haraam, not allowed, you cannot try to make it Halal, Allowed,

Wishing Merry Christmas is not just like wishing a birthday, the meaning is also that Jesus is the Son of God, which we don't believe in Islam.
That's a belief/opinion about Jesus. Knowing that, read my reply again and answer if what you're saying is true, why I am better than god in that example. If someone celebrated a kid named brad and claimed that he was my son. I wouldn't take that as abuse, I would take it as a misunderstanding and simply explain to them, that it is not the case. Now tell me why would I be more forgiving than god, if he is the perfect being. The answer is either that I am better than god or that you're wrong about "merry christmas" being an abuse to allah.

Allah is all forgiving, Merciful, but there are certain things that go against Islam that Allah has told us in the Qur'an not to do, Christmas is one of those things, Simply because those Christians are celebrating this day in the intentions of Jesus being the Son of God and being born on 25th December, But in the Qur'an, There is no evidence for either of those, Jesus was just a Prophet, and there is no exact evidence in the Qur'an as to when Jesus was actually born.

Re: Merry Christmas From VU.
1. If we are to celebrate the birth of Esa AS, we should do it by the Islamic calendar, not the Gregorian calendar.
2. Proof that he was not born on the 25th of December. 19:25 talks about Maryam RAA shaking a date-palm and letting ripe dates fall. Dates only become ripe in the summer. December 25 is in the winter.
3. This is not how we should celebrate Islamic festivals. We should, in those days, observe even more piety and humbleness, unless it is the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. It was not his Sunnah to celebrate Christmas.

Allah SWT will forgive each and every sin, much more than you would, as long as you repent. 17:15, he does not punish anyone without sending a messenger to them, so you will only be punished if you deny the message, not if you didn't receive it at all. Allah SWT clearly told us, through the Quran, that he has not taken any son.Chuck Norris wrote:=KF=Thunder^ wrote:Chuck Norris wrote:=KF=Thunder^ wrote:4K. wrote:=KF=Thunder^ wrote:4K. wrote:=KF=Thunder^ wrote:I will not wish Merry Christmas since I am a Muslim, And many mislead Muslims don't know that when they are wishing Merry Christmas, they are saying/believing that Jesus (Prophet Isa) Is the begotten Son of Allah Astagfirullah, Since that is basically the meaning of Merry Christmas

But you're still avoiding the question if I can forgive my friends with different beliefs and opinions, why can't allah? Isn't he supposed to be perfect? If my friend doesn't celebrate christmas, I don't hate him for it. If my friend celebrates christmas, I don't hate him for it either. If Allah says you shouldn't celebrate christmas and I still do it because I didn't know better or thought that some other religion was true or thought no religion was true, wouldn't the perfect being understand that humans aren't perfect and forgive them anyways? If your muslim friend says merry christmas to a friend out of love and respect for their beliefs even though he doesn't believe in it himself, the perfect being would probably say: He might be wrong, but we are all humans and we love each other no matter our mistakes.
Also there is no evidence of any religion. If there is, everyone would believe in the same thing. There is no evidence that god exist or that he doesn't exist. It's a belief that can be so strong that you just know that you're right. It's a prediction that can't be proven until we actually die. Let's take this example:
We are doing an experiment called Life, when the experiment is over we will have a result. My outcome of the experiment is that nothing will happen, I say that the experiment is based on 3 processes that has already been observed and we can view the result. I make a prediction after these results about what will happen. You write a book where you just make up random things in your head and say they're true. I Think your prediction is totally stupid and will probably be wrong. You say that your prediction is right. Can any of us proof ´to the other what will happen? When he haven't seen the result? Not really. You can believe that your way is true and say that you're so certain that you know you're right, but that doesn't mean you got evidence or can prove it to someone else.
You can say: The quaran is so perfect that no human can ever write it and therefor you believe to 100 % that it's the word of Allah. But if you were to say it to me I would be like: I haven't read the quaran and I don't understand the translations you give me. It's an argument thunder and not evidence.

So would you say that 4k would be punished for wishing his friends Merry Christmas out of love and respect for their beliefs (even though he doesn't believe it himself). Thunder claims that Allah would punish 4k and I say that I wouldn't. So is thunder wrong in your opinion or am I more forgiving than god in this example? If I am more forgiving how can god be perfect when I am not.

If you have read what I said and actually understand it and still claim I am wrong, I had an argument for it. That means that I am better than god. You are saying that 4k is not allowed to wish his friends a merry christmas, because he would insult Allah, because some of us Believe that jesus is the son of god (I don't Believe it, but some people do). I said very clearly, but you don't seem to know how to read properly after spamming with azbee: If someone celebrated that brad is my son and he wasn't. I wouldn't hate those people, I would just say: That's a misunderstand, brad is not my son and move on with my Life. You claim that Allah would punish 4k or not forgive him for that? My arguments against that was that I was better than god if what you're saying is true. Because I forgive friends with good intentions while your god doesn't seem to.
Seriously if you are going to keep arguing with me you're going to have stop saying bullshit and actually the defend your Points. This is extremely pointless anyways it's like talking to a person who ignores Everything he doesn't like or agree with and just keeps on attacking.

You can't be better than God you fat bastard, doesn't that go into your head?
So you're wrong then. Or have you actually read anything here?
I will explain my points later on since I'm not at home at the moment, is that ok nerd?
Also, I did not claim that Allah will not forgive 4K, I said that Allah has made it clear in the Qur'an that we should not Wish 'Merry Christmas' Because it is not allowed Since the tradition it comes from, there is only one meaning of Merry Christmas, which is celebrating the birth of Jesus 'The Son of God' But of course, it's different if 4K didn't know it's wrong, he wouldn't get a sin for it. But despite the fact I have provided evidence how its wrong and why is wrong, he still thinks it's right, but of course, Allah is all forgiving, why would he not forgive 4K?

Yep, A conversation where Angel the nerd always thinks he's right, but he's just a nerd, I would give him such a long reply that would close this discussion but I don't have time at the moment, maybe later xD
Does Allah in the quran anywhere define the meaning of "merry christmas" or says that there can only be one definition. If he does not then how do you know what his will is, what he likes or what he Thinks of it?. Merry Christmas has many meaning.
