[Accepted] Server Suggestions - Force Register
My 3 suggestions...
1. I suggest that there should be a script which forces a player to register like in 0.3 we used to have. And if he keeps trying to spawn and is dying then after x amount of times of failing to register he should be auto registered with the password = default (or anything) and the current username because some newbies don't know how to register. Also if a player is registered, but isn't logging in and just trying to spawn, then his password should be reset after an x amount of failed spawns.
I'm suggesting this so we don't face situations like we have in the Player Report of 'gren'. gren is not a registered player and was caught hacking, now we cannot ban him because he doesn't have an account.
2. Also I would like to suggest to make an IP Ban and a Subnet Ban command like in 0.3 so we can punish hackers like these and also ban hackers who have multiple accounts, because when finding an account of a player to ban, I sometimes find 2-3 accounts of the same name and so you can just think how many accounts that player would have in another name and could freely play after breaking a serious rule and being banned. Also to go with the command there should be an Subnet unban and IP unban.
3. And also I'm suggesting an IP lookup command in which we insert an IP and it will show us all accounts registered on that IP.

Or only registered or logined members can spawn. Or you can check 'Unowned' name.account in this account have many cash 1 crore you can check

Some newbies don't know how to register so we shouldn't restrict the game for them so it should auto register with a common or random pass and if he ever asks for his pass then Angel can tell him, or if it's a common pass any admin can tell him.
Btw I disagree with my suggestion of auto login because I forgot that it can be a fake person trying to login so ignore that. But auto register should be implemented.

1. There was never any auto register in 0.3. But you are right this is a problem & I'll think about a better solution than what you suggested. You have to think like a noob what happens when a noob gets killed when he spawns all the time? He quits and plays on another server where that doesn't happen. Considering that a lot of the casual players behave like this we can't force them to do anything to play because we would lose people.
2. Will be considered. I think personally MAC ID is better. You can change IP and maybe even subnets without much trouble. But to evade a mac ID ban you have to literally use another computer or re-install windows. Just think about it: People can maybe change computer 1-3 times, but they can change IP and subnets more than 5 times + Other people in the same subnet can't play if it works like this. Having the MAC ID system is much better because two reasons:
- We only ban the person we are supposed to ban & not like 1 million people or other players who play on the same internet connection.
(I admit if two brothers share the same computer & one of them screws up that negatively affects the other brother that didn't do it, but so would IP banning also).
- It's not easy to change MAC ID & is in my opinion more time consuming.
3. Our scripts are 20 k lines long spawning in multiple files. The IP is not saved anymore it's just the mac ID (= the computer's address). We can't have IP lookup anymore and I don't think we need it.

Yes I got confused the 1st part. We had auto kill on 0.3. But I'm suggesting that if someone doesn't know how to register then he should be auto registered with a default password after 3 (or any number you want) failed attempts.
And it would be better if we use MAC ID so if that is possible it would be great.

I agree with all those suggestion but on the second one you shouldn't allow multi accounting. If you don't allow multiaccounting it will solve the problem. Multi accounting isn't allowed in any good VC:MP server except this one.

That's for RPG server. Give me one good reason why players shouldn't be allowed to have more than 1 account on a DM server. Making our work easier is not a valid excuse and never will be. There is definitely problem with what ghost are saying, but it is the admins who should pay the price & not the players. 100 times more work for the admins is better than 1.2 times more work for the players in every case. You need to start thinking like that. I rather pick a solution that will not negatively affect the players.

I agree, there is nothing wrong with multi accounting. And my auto register siggestion will not affect the player in any negative way and can also help us (admins) ban rule breakers. And if we had a Mac ID ban command it would help us avoid rule breakers using an another account and avoiding his punishment. I would like this to be implemented soon because the hacker 'gren' is running freely in the server and can't be punished unless this is implemented.

I was more referring to your suggestion to kill players when they spawn just because they aren't registered. I'll try to come up with a good solution.
