[Denied] /ignore command

Add /ignore name cmd it's to ignore players who keeps abusing,spamming and annoying you.

ex: /ignore VK.MaSoN^ the cmd works like this: when you use /ignore VK.MaSoN^ you can't see his messages.

Its disadvantage for admin if admin ignore and player is abusing you cant see what can you do ?

Lol players can report abusers, But what about who keeps saying Devil devil devil devil and he keeps annoying you?

I have a question Mason.
Is this going to be an admin command or normal players can use it?

If it's going to be an admin command we have /mute and if its going to be for normal players too, I don't think they should be given this command because what if they are breaking a rule while ignoring an admin and the admin wants to talk to him.

Maybe there could be an admin command /unignore or something like that which would force a specific player to un-ignore anyone he has ignored.

And if someone is abusing a player, the player should immediately report him rather than just ignoring him.
And if someone is abusing an admin, then the admin can just simply punish him or even report him.

If someone is spamming and we (admins) see it, we shouldn't ignore him, we should either help him solver his problem (if he has one) or mute/warn/kick/ban him according to the seriousness of the spam.

Sounds like an interesting idea that might be implemented. But unfortunately it takes a long and the server can live without it. I mainly put my focus into to adding things that are important for the server and things that adds something more to the gameplay, before I focus on things like this.

There is a lot to think about NE when adding a script like this:
- You need to add a command, put code on both asay, /msg and the chat itself.
- You need to store a list of names that each person ignores, probably in the database and then add it to arrays.
- You need to make sure you can't ignore admins and that if you a ignore a person before he is an admin and then the person becomes an admin you need to make sure that the person is no longer ignored.

These are just things I can think about now.

That ignore won't friggin get saved!

Yes just when you reconnect, it unignores the players who you ignored.

Answer to ghost post, mason, yea, admins shouldn't be ignored. Agree with GHOST!
And Angel, you don't need a DB, use an array as u did with nogoto and spawnwep, and check the ignore thing when a player joins, if he/she is an admin, disable the ignore system for him/her, so that no one can ignore him/her.

If you guys(all scripters) can't understand me, don't worry, I will give a example regarding to it here.

Diamond warned that anyone caught spamming +1/-1 will be warned and I announced that it is spam.

What do you think what your useless +1/-1 posts will do? They will not increase or decrease the change of it being accepted by even 1%. They are considered as spam.

This is your rule:

"Replying to administrative topics: Replying to administrative topics like admin applications, reports and clan application is no longer allowed by normal members. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be punished by having that post removed, plus a warning. Exceptions include: Replying "good luck" to reports and admin applications, but only 1 per "

A suggestion topic is not an administrative topic and therefor that rule doesn't apply here. If that rule doesn't apply general definitions of spam and flooding applies. Which is: Spam = repeating the same post multiple times.
Flooding = Spamming the recent topic list with multiple posts or posting a lot of replies to one topic at a time.

To solve this problem you have to either update the rules saying that the suggestion topics count as an administrative topic, which they don't in my opinion because I only look at the first post and never even look at the replies unless something is unclear or there is a potential for a better idea in the comments.

Spam also means useless posting.

If this gets implemented only between normal players, I agree with it. Ignoring admins is the worst thing that could be brought by this command. But, it still seems a little useful as admins can /mute unnecessary comments. I am like 50/50.

Even if this is scripted I don't think I would ever use it because in my opinion we, especailly admins should never ignore someone.

Since this command:
- Will lead to more bad then good
- Will take a lot of scripting and re-writing
- Isn't really needed, because this is the internet after all and the admins are here to get rid of players that does this instead of simply ignoring them
