On a side note, don't put 100% trust in /alias.
I have had one person on my UID alias despite the fact that I never joined with that name. This is because there are only 16⁸ (which is around 5e+9) possible combinations of aliases and due to the birthday problem a reasonable probablility is made of a conflicting UID.
