With the new VC-MP client update, it's possible to add the file generic.txd to server store/maps folder to overwrite the one people load locally from their game directories. This file mostly is used for suspicious activities aka modifying bushes and grass to make them invisible so it becomes easier to see and hit people hiding behind bushes without any effort.
So the suggestion here is to add the default vanilla generic.txd to the server files to get rid of those cheaters once and for all. Removing bushes is nothing but a cheat, it doesn't make your fps any good like some people were saying before.

It gives an advantage in minigames too. I used it before and it doesn't improve FPS that much. +1

I agree with 3more. I also don't get why people would have any trouble running a 2002 game in any computer, even if they're using a literal potato as a power supply. Sure, it's an open-world game, and some people can't afford to buy a GPU, but almost any CPU integrated graphics card can easily run an 18 years old game. I used to have a 10+ years old laptop as of now, which was very weak and a work laptop, and it could run GTA SA let alone Vice City.

Hahaha players those who plays this server with low end pc will face huge lag. Vks server is already a laggy server. Why y'all want to make this server more laggy?? And who said that no trees grass mod doesn't increase fps lol?

As Darkrazor already explained, game performance and server lag are two different things. Removing this will have nothing to do with server lag. And as I explained, it should have nothing to do with performance as well. There's no PC potato enough to not be able to run VC.

It will cost you no more than $100 to upgrade your computer to be able to play with 60FPS. This method is wrong, however, as it gives a slight disadvantage, and as the game rules say, game memory modification that gives an advantage is disallowed.

The fps drops are not really due to potato PCs, as you can see from VC's requirement its like 250mb ram and a damn old CPU, you literally won't need anything else. And i think by "potato pc" people mean about 4GB or 2GB ram and a core 2? Can't be less than that lol. Still they face lag its because the Vice City itself is such an unoptimized game which requires literally about mid range PCs to get 60 FPS in 1080p. And on potato PCs it atleast have to be new to get better FPS. And as you guys know the new servers that are getting released nowadays are using custom objects which are well optimized that causes most likely no lag even for potato users. So we can't really blame VKs server for it since its the GTA VC itself.

Ultimately it only matters in rare cases. In normal DMs you don't hang around bushes anyway. Sure it won't maybe ruin some minigames like /hidekill. But from the people playing that I haven't heard of any cheats related to that. Using it to find Alvin in /wod though that's just unfair to Alvin and I condemn it.
