Driveby question.

Either talk from experience or try to test this out.

You're meeting a player who is lagging as shit and he uses driveby to kill people.

How hard is to damage the vehicle (/car) by just a few HP? Ignore that they can /fix, just tell me if you can damage the /car before you die from a driveby kill.

Shutup F*cking *!#%, no disable drive by, I can easily smell that you are finding excuses to disable it.

I usually check /car after shooting a drivebyer. I have this experience with a player named shahnoor. He lags alot,i shoot him for like 10-20 seconds and then check /car and he usually has like 700-800 veh hp, I don't know if that got from my bullets or either him numbing his bikes along the way. But already 1 bullet would have got to the bike. Was using m60 tho.

I know you're just trolling. But I'll take this an opportunity to explain something to the rest. I will not disable driveby. I will try to make it more balanced without ruining the fun completely and that's challenging.

My opponent lags hard and his vehicle wraps too much then it becomes almost impossible to destroy his vehicle through weapons and ramming except we use grenades,molotoves and RPG to give the try.

For example, there is a player called [RF]Cris.

I am aware of that player. But can you tell me if his vehicle gets damaged at all in every encounter. If his vehicle for example loses 100-200 HP everytime you encounter him I might have a solution.

Actually drive-by making the game more funny and if it has deleted it will by like LW server what ever if we got killed once or twice from drive-by I hope u angel never delete it

Not everytime, I sometimes get trouble to shoot him and on his vehicle because his vehicle moves like zig-zag way due to heavy lag and he has the best opportunity to come and kill me easily because my bullets goes straight to him, it doesn't give effective much against his health or vehicle damage and he comes to me a bit faster like zig-zag (too fast to turn left/right due to lag) with perfect aim.

It's pretty easy to set the car on fire with 1 RPG shot.

I guess, it's pretty easier than before to kill drive-byers in rel006. If, you lead-aim on lagger drive-byers it can get them as rel006 doesn't make that much lag. If you use m60 or rocket it will hit them for sure at least rocket will. For m60 use lead-aim it will get him. It isn't like that hard but for pro players they can dodge and shoot back pretty easily. Also if you use m4 it won't work on the laggers. So, even if they lag its not like its hard to kill them use rocket or m60 I found it pretty easy after rel006.

These are videos to support your claim that driveby needs to be balanced. This topic is about finding a solution where people who doesn't lag can still driveby... so no they're not really helpful because you don't really answer my questions. I have already seen these videos and have nothing more to say than they are unfair of course.

I agree with Agent. DriveBy is the very good reason that people choose VKs more...I also like drive by very much and I have my 600+kills with DriveBy. If Angel will remove DriveBy, the server will have no difference between LW and other servers. I hope Angel will not delete DriveBy feature!

250+ ping makes lag not 200+.

Ideas:
- If you make more than 3 driveby kills in a row you can't repair and the next damage you or your bike takes will blow it up or just eject you from the bike. (Best one probably)
- If player enter vehicle after driveby he has to wait a few minutes to start driveby again after making more than 3 kills in a row (fix won't work). (Best one probably)
- Max ping 500 to driveby and min fps 20.

or possibly a ban driveby command for those who lag too much and ruin the server.

Thoughts on my ideas? I have thought very long about smart ideas to do it. I want driveby to be nerfed and not to be disabled. By doing this it will just be a little harder for people who driveby for a long time.

I always leave fighting with guns and move to rooftop when [RF]Chris spawn with that laggy pizza bike, I could never kill him or destroy his bike because he warps with that vehicle as if he is teleporting along with that scooter.

well I've liked all of these suggestion but i won't go with 3rd one since there's a daily challenge of 15 drive by kills so I'm sure it might be problem for some users
well I'll give you a modify version of idea 1
first of all add rule of /fix evade and after someone does 1 drive by kill the cmd /fix should be disabled for him so when he/she try to use /fix it won't work if it's not possible then as you said if he use /fix then his car/bike will be automatically destroyed and he'll be killed or if player started killing people with drive by then stunt bike mode should be turned off for that particular user like he killed me then his stunt bike mode should be turned off a small message will be shown in his screen that stunt bike is turned off since you're killing people by drive by and ping/fps limit needs to be there as well more than having 500 pings and less than 25 fps you won't be able to do drive by

I meant use all of three at the same time. The challenge might have to be modified. That sounds like a good theory. Stuntbike for one specific user would actually solve the problem too bad that VC-MP always miss the features we need. Stuntbike is VC-MP 0.4 can only be enabled/disabled for everyone and not for specific users.

I also tried editing weapon damage and what do you know the command works for normal weapons, but not for driveby. Good old VC-MP always misses the specific things I need lol.

I will remind you of players like Cris who actually has less than 500 ping and 40-60 fps. So he wouldn't be affected by only the third idea.

Sounds like everyone here wanted driveby to be nerfed but when I suggested ways to nerf it like destroying the bike / making the bike usuable if a user manages to damage it (after the driveby guy made 3 kills), so not really sure what to say. Sounds like you guys want the impossible. I can assure you have I spent many hours thinking of these ideas and I can't find a lot of better ideas then these three combined.

If a person is laggy af on his bike and drivebying its not that hard to damage the vehicle. The person takes very very few damage tho but u might land a headshot with an m4 if ur good at lead aiming. Also to kill laggy drivebyers u can just use an ingram to pop their tires and deal with them later

Chainsaw works too, it knocks them off the bike.

Some people just have that high ping almost always, but you shouldn't take the fun of driving a bike off them, as I know some people with a high ping who drive bikes just for one, and don't cause inconvenience. I advice that you simply make a system for people with high ping which ejects them out of their bike if they damage someone while being in the bike, and automatically ban them from getting in a bike for about 5 minutes, which will solve our problem with high-ping drive-by'ers. However, I suggest that you make the max ping limit around 350, because laggers in bikes start becoming invincible at around that ping. Yet that still will not completely make the drive-by system fair and nerf it, since we all know that VC-MP sync is not good, so people with low pings will still get an advantage, especially by speed. To make that reasonable, when a person kills someone with drive-by, you can create a system which automatically disables the "/fix" command for that person for the next 10 minutes

Drive by King : BrodMan made his record by DriveBy.I also love DriveBy, so plz don't make such a system. If someone's starts killing is if we are on bike, we are shot, we are shot because that player has enough practice! Players who have not enough practice to shoot correct, are making damn excuses!
