[Solved] Bug Report - Skins

Your in-game name: Sheep
Date the bug occured: Right Now.
The command the bug belongs to: The Bug In Skins.
Description of the bug: When I pick the skin it turns into another skin

It's Lag not bug.

It could be lag. I have experienced it too.

sheep, angel asks you if you can do /skin the next time it happens and tell him the message. (after you get spawned with wrong skin)

Can you tell me two things. When you did /skin did the exact same thing as in the video happened. Did you use /skin when you were spawned? Did /skin say that you were in the zombie skin, but when you looked at your character/player it was not the zombie skin? For example. You spawn as Zombie and instead get another skin, after that you do /skin and it says you have the zombie skin.

I tested this and it still happens in rel006. I suspect that you actually get the zombie skin and everyone else sees you as a zombie. It's just that for some reason VC-MP glitches out and you don't get the skin on your screen, but others can see that you have it. So If you can. The next time it happens ask players: Which do you see me as. If they say zombie or see the same skin as you, let me know.

I am not sure what's causing it but. I am pretty sure it's only a visual bug on the players computer. Which is a shame. I have a fix for it by just changing the skin again after close spawn protection is enabled but the thing is there is a short 0.5 second disturbance that causes players to slow down and stop shooting for a little while. It's not terribly annoying, but if players had to deal with this everytime they spawned it could be an issue.

This is not a bug, no need to fix it.
Just let players be slow/careful when switching skins.
I'm sure it is because of lag+player's lack of experience [don't believe your screen, just pay attention to how many times '↓' button you pressed].If you need more information, please send me a PM, I'll explain it to you.

It's a fault in VC-MP's design and setting the skin of the player again actually fixes it.

It's not just that bug , there is another bug where the player is invisible and you can only see his shadow and his tag.

Idk how you guys say it's lag while it happens to me even when having lower than 100 ping?

On the testing server I have 0 ping. That's 0 % lag. Everything else is lag. You have 5 ping? That's still lag.

With 0 ping it never happens, not even once. So it's lag related.

Anyways I joined the server just now and spawned as Sonic, but it gave the default skin and when I used /skin it showed skin as Sonic.

When you join a custom prop your skin gets fixed/changed back to the one you selected.

- Attempted to fix the issue of players not receiving the right skin or spawning at the wrong location due to lag.

Hopefully this'll fix this bug, however if anyone face any bug feel free to open another bug report.
