0.4 Server Checklist

note: it doesnt seem that this topic is used anymore. angel has a notepad document that he keeps for himself instead. signed Rainbow Dash (2016-06-14)

Information.
The 0.4 server is right now being scripted by NE.CrystalBlue and VK.Angel.OfDeath. This checklist has been used ever since the pre alpha. Now after patch 1.0 this checklist will be used as a guideline on what to add in the upcoming patches.

Our main goal is to script this server much faster than it took us to script the 0.3 server.

The Checklist
Here is a list for the scripters (NE.CrystalBlue & VK.Angel.OfDeath) to go by. This list will eventually be moved to the server information section later in the process.

- The vehicles and skins have been copied over from the 0.3 server. (Crystal)
- A ban system, Register system and Admin system has been added. (Crystal)
- Remove that you have to register in order to play. (Crystal)
- Remove "unknown command" when you type /commands or /admincmds. (Crystal)
- Change kill message. (Crystal)
- Add our spawn screen. (Crystal)
- Make players that doesn't spawn with python to spawn with colt45. (Crystal)
- Either change /setlevel to /changelevel or add /changelevel as an alternative to /setlevel. (Crystal)
- A player that gets killed receives the cash instead of the killer.  *** (Crystal)
- Add the stat command. *** (Crystal)
- Add a spectate mode for admins. << added but untested << added, press F12 to toggle spectate and arrow keys to chose player to spectate. (Crystal)
- Add every team color. *** (Crystal)
- Add animation commands like: /dance, /lay, /aim, /sit and /handsup. (Angel & Crystal)
- Make a new message for /wep when you enter an invalid weapon. (Angel)
- Implement custom objects (Angel)
- Add /mycars. (Angel)
- Add a spam kicker << Added muter instead. (Crystal)
- When you enter the vehicle it displays the owner. (Crystal)
- Make a /goto command with /nogoto to prevent other players, but not admins to teleport to them. *** << Admins /agoto (Crystal)
- Add a text on the spawn screen telling the player what skin it is and what team it is. (Angel)
- Remove the annoying symbol that comes into the chat when you write a long message. It looks something like this: l. << This is implemented in VCMP, extremely hard to remove << I thought of a new way, now very easy to do (Crystal)
- Make the random skin change skin like in the 0.3 version. (Angel)
- Change the structure of the /commands to look more like the 0.3 server. (Not in terms of colors of course) *** (Angel)
- Server messages: Go to our forum, keys for a certain action, basic commands and other stuff. (add this last) *** (Angel)
- Add a 5 second timer for /heal (Angel)
- Add the most important commands from the 0.3 server: putovehicle disarm  asay level deposit withdraw bring forum flip saveloc gotoloc freeze unfreeze ip  cash and so on. (Crystal and Angel)
- Null shows up as body part sometimes when a kill is made of a player in a vehicle. (Angel)
- Add fun cmds for admins: /setskin (Angel), /setspeed (Angel), /setgrav (Angel), /setwlevel (angel), /carfly (Crystal), /stuntbike (Crystal)
- Add 0.3 important admin commands: /warn, /unwarn (level 3), /setwep (level 5), /drown (level 6),/setweather (level 5), /settime (level 4), /ann (level 4-7). (Crystal and Angel)
- Make the system work properly for someone who doesn't register. (Angel)
- Add a limit to car owners. *** (Angel)
- Make sure that the death message shows when team white kills each other *** (Angel)
- Add some other cool cmds: /mute* << Added: /spree, givecash, /lastjoined, /time, radaroff (Crystal and Angel)
- Add the treasure hunting event script. (Angel)
- Add the old 0.3 default teleport locs in elevators and such. *** (Crystal & Angel)
- Cooldown on goto. (Angel) ***

- MiniGame commands:
- Added team commands: /teamup, /leaveteam.
- More activity commands: /leaveactivity.
- Minigame commands: joinminigame, race, fight, gungame, lms, onehitkill, shootingrange. (Angel)
- Add menu's. (Angel)

- Clean up the duel command: can now select where to duel, can duel with a money bet, can't evade bets, added new command /duelid. (Angel)
- Add more animations + /animationcmds (more dances and other) (Angel)
- Decrease hunter waiting time. ( Angel)
- IRC fixed (NE.CrystalBlue)
- Sphere's fixed (crystal's basement sphere as well as the others) + can now be entered with a vehicle. (Angel)
- Updated the server messages and added announcements for minigames that can be configured with /configmessage. (Angel)
- Added /credits, updated /info, /help and /cmds. (Angel)
- Added secret pickup easter egg (more for noobs than us). (Angel)
- Gave the admin weapon a name + made it usable in a minigame (onehit) (Angel)
- Transferstats bug fixed once again. (Angel)
- Bug fix: Locking a custom property will not prevent you from teleporting to the location of the icon in another world.
- Editingkeys updated with F1, F2 & F3 that I missed to include.
- Help icons added. (NE.CrystalBlue & VK.Angel.OfDeath)
- A custom map added for a death arena (VK.Angel.OfDeath)
- Join message information changed. (VK.Angel.OfDeath)
- Team color for the cuban's and bikers has been updated to make them easier to read in chat.
- Stuntbike enabled by default now. (Angel)
- 2015 january message changed to 2016 january in the treasure hunting event.
- Government & VKs can own as many custom properties as possible for building stuff special to the server. (Angel)
- Buyvehupgrade now doesn't say unknown command. (Angel)
- Added a message to flip. (Angel)
- Fixed vehicles not appearing in the normal world if destroyed or respawned in the custom properties. (Angel).
- Made it so you can only own one of each model and can't share vehicles between  accounts that are registered on the same computer. (Angel)
- Goto and /nogoto updated to tell you how to reach a player that is not in same world as you. Example a player in a minigame or in a custom property, tells them to exitcustomprop and things.  (Angel)
- Team colors added to command messages. (Angel)
- New skins added in menu's. (Angel)
- Can no longer use animation cmds to get up after being shot down by a shotgun or an explosion. (Angel)
- you can now enter the commands in lower and upper case without any problems. (Angel)
- Spawnwep disarms you now so you only spawn and get the weapons you want. (Angel)

I don't understand the joke This is obviously a checklist for the 0.4 server and not the 0.3 server. Right we almost got every basic thing added.

The checklist gets updated all the time, so be sure to check it if you're interested.

Okay I have moved the checklist to the information section so you guys can check out what's left and what we have completed so far. Right now I am in the process of organizing everything and making sure that the performance will be solid in the long term.

This list will be updated from time to time, but I won't make a reply every time I or NE.Cry completes something. We will also be adding more things and eventually open up the suggestion section again . But before we do that we want to finish the most important things on this list!

So if you're interested, be sure to check this topic for any changes!
