[Solved] How to fix it guys?!

libpng16.dll is included with the client update (as seen here) so either something/someone deleted it or it may require the Visual Studio redistributable to be installed, located here. Included the links below:

This seems to have solved it for one user at least. I do not know more about the issue.

The error code 0x80240017 in Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 usually appears due to the fact that your system has changed after you installed a third-party application. It can also occur because something has changed in the registry after a reboot and you do not have the required system permissions.

If that doesn't work, install the dll file from here(Clicky!). I'll tell you the quick way to paste the file.

Steps:

- Download the file from above link.

- Right click on VC:MP browser.

- Choose 'Open file location'.

- You'll see a '04rel006' folder. Open it.

- Finally paste the .dll

- Try joining servers now!

It worked for a few users who were still facing the issue after downloading VC redistributables. If this also doesn't work, delete the 04rel006 folder in %appdata /VCMP/ and let the VC:MP download it again.
