[Event] Saturday Championship

In summer 2019 me and Rainbow_Dash started a project to create a Championship that would be hosted every saturday. The project was never finished and we didnt work as much on it. The idea still exist and most of the minigames have already been created and they only need a few small changes. However Rainbow left so every project he had are now frozen and no one is working on them anymore. I decided that I am gonna finish the rest of the event myself. I will simply explain how the championship will work and a list of possible minigames that will be included.

Minigames:

In all of the minigames just a certain amount of players (the fastest) will be allowed to enter the next challenge.

1- Death Run: This will be the first minigame that the championship will start with, you simple have to run to the finish as soon as possible by avoiding touching the traps. Only 9 players will be allowed to the next challenge by completing this minigame.

2- Quiz: You will be given a question and 2 options. If you pick the right answer you can move on to the next question and if you dont you will have to reset the quiz. Question will be related to VCMP/VICE CITY/VKS. Only 8 players will be allowed to the next challenge by completing this minigame.

3- Parkour: Just a simple parkour you have to complete. Only 6 players will be allowed to the next challenge by completing this minigame.

4- Death-match: You need to kill other players and collect money. Every player drops 1000$ once you collect 7000$ you can move on to the final challenge. Only 4 finalist will be allowed to the next challenge by completing this minigame.

5- Car drag: This is the final challenge and out of 4 finalist only 1 will be the champion. You need to drag your vehicle to the finish line. The winner of the championship will be rewarded.

There should be a high chance of getting rewards if you want people to actually participate. I'm think of the following -

1st - $1000000, 50 VKT, 25 DC
2nd - $750000, 40VKT, 20 DC
3rd - $500000, 30 VKT, 10 DC

I know that sounds like a lot, but honestly, 1m for only one player will attract no one. You also have to be careful that you frequently advertise the event, and make sure everyone knows about. You may even adjust the timings a little bit, if everyone agrees.

Making rewards for 1, 2 and third place seems good but the rewards you suggested are way too much i wont add any VK/DC rewards only money.

I have been working all day on this event today and its almost ready. We might be able to test it out this saturday and see how it goes.

It's best if we move this thread to the Server Events board.

I will prepare the event for this Saturday. I will host it whenever the server has a decent amount of players online. The price will be 1000000$. Hopefully we get enough participants to be able to host the event.

can't you host it on Thursday ?

Yes, you should take a survey of when people will be available to get the most people participating and to not force anyone to play on a time they cannot.

Yes, you should take a survey of when people will be available to get the most people participating and to not force anyone to play on a time they cannot.

I am not forcing anyone to participate neither will I change the day on when the event will be hosted. I picked Saturday as thats usually a free day from work/school. However the event will be hosted only in Saturday's with 1 million prize, this doesnt mean that we cant host the event other week days but with a lower reward 200 - 250k.

Edit: The point of this topic was to discuss what would be the best time for this event to be hosted. The topic has been opened for like 2 weeks and no one had any problems with the time till now, its too late to change the day when the main event will be hosted.

I locked the topic and instead of using it for discussion I will use it to post weekly winners.
