September 2018 Update - Back to school, Next patch and the future.

Just going to do my weekly rant about stuff going on. Welcome to september nerds.

Back to school
My university opens on monday and I'll be back to my regular schedule of only scripting on weekends. During the summer I scripted everyday.

Robbery
I've created a robbery job that isn't really job, like most other. It actually takes place in world 1 and you don't need to join any minigames at all to do it and no commands are disabled when robbing the stores. There are basically 21 stores that you can rob. If you rob a store you will get cops (NPCs) that tries to kill you. You get rid of the cops by dying or by using the stars (if you die you lose 90 % of the money you robbed). I'll probably put the rewards there. This will kinda change the server a little just like the property system did. Those who just wants to DM won't be affected by this except if they actually go near a store and rob it. No stores are placed near any spawn locations or any commonly played at sections anyways. The only thing you might see is cop NPCs attacking other players, but I don't think that matters to anyone. (this system only applies in world 1 btw).

I hope you guys will give this change a chance. I feel like it adds a new sort of gameplay that I used to do in singleplayer which is to fight cops. If not we can always just move it to another world.

Patch 4.6
I have of course listened to most of you guys suggestions for this patch and added a few things. The thing about jobs though at this point is that I could make like 5 more jobs that are similar to pizza boy and garbageman, but those jobs are not so fun for you guys or for me, so I always try to think about new things.

Secret of VKs part 2 will hopefully be done this patch, but I won't delay the patch for secret of VKs so it's possible we have to wait since the script is huge. I want it to be good. The first patch it comes out, most people won't be able to complete it anyways. Secret of VKs part 1 will be available for the regulars next patch (made easier). Secret of VKs always start as a server event (where we all work together to finish it).

Right now I am going to start the rel006 tests and continue with the secret of VKs script.

Future
What's coming in the future?

- Rel006: I am never able to keep my promises. I said at the beginning of the summer that my goal was for it to be finished at the end. It is finished, but I need to start to make those final tests. The final test is something I will start tomorrow hopefully. Expect it in patch 5.0 unless something goes wrong. It will come when it comes. I'll keep updating you guys on this every update.

- Minigame & minigame creator: I've probably let go of this completely. I think the future is in the property system and in the event staff. I'll continue to make my own minigames like fallout and stuff that you guys seem to like.

- Property system: I am pretty sasified with the system at the moment, I'll most likely not add anymore big scripts to it for a while, just fill it out with suggestions and stuff I've missed.

- Jobs: I have an ambulance job in the work that will be similar to the taxi one (in patch 4.6 the taxi minigame is moved to another world btw). I might do some other jobs if I can think of them as long as they're interesting.

- BOD: BOD will be made easier now in patch 4.6, but a second bod is coming in the future to finish off the secret of VKs storyline.

- Custom content: More content is coming next patch. Unfortunately I'll only be able to add skins 1 or 2 more times. Why? Because the maximum limit is unfortunately 50. We got 45 with patch 4.6. I'll most likely remove old useless skins at that point, but I'll no longer be able to sell skins to you guys (which means less things to spend money on). Around december is probably when we have to start looking into that.

More npcs are also coming, as well as vehicles. Titles might come as well. Suggest any if you have them.

Final words
I have no idea where we are going or how long we'll last for. One can only hope that we got many more years to look forward to. Scripting wise I feel like I've almost already done everything and I am now trying to show off all my knowledge that I've learned to give you the best final result as possible.

I have the ezio skin in my savedbox, I might use it later. But on this patch I already had 2 skins planned since long before you sent me that. I added the assassin title into the list.

You will never see any new content without a patch update. The system is not released yet (it's coming in patch 4.6), I might make a video on it.
Bod is still hard then

I would hope so. But now you can join it with more players and clegane makes about 50 % less damage, which means you will last 2 times longer.

Levels decrease? The changes that will be made are the following:

- The limit in bod has been increased from 12 to 100 players, meaning you can have the whole server in /bod if you want.
- Clegane's damage has been reduced by 50 %, so he doesn't make as much damage.

What levels Los?
Shooting range level? They will decrease to 40 yes.
Bod levels? No there will still be 45 levels in bod.

Not sure what you're talking about to be honest.

I don't know what other servers does, but I tried to make it as similar to the singleplayer version as possible, but at the same time I had to put some limitations like: cops can't come after you in other worlds (it would be too annoying), you can't heal when cops are attacking. That will only be a problem if you decide to rob a store or kill an NPC standing in world 1. If you for example are not wanted you can kill every cop chasing other players without getting a wanted level. That's a little weird to have in a normal server, but we have to have it so people who just want to DM don't get a wanted level because they accidently kills a cop chasing another player.

The big patch update is coming in september or early october. This is a really really small patch to fix a bug in the cop job. I made it so 100 players can join bod now, but clegane wont get easier until after patch 4.6.

I basically got a lot of testing left, two more scripts to add and a few small improvements. Expect the patch soon.
