Maybe Marcus is just feeling lonely lol.
Seriously though I found the bug. Fixed it now for next patch. It's not a serious bug since it only happens when Marcus is hosting property events and stuff like that. Your duel probably ended of those events.

Actually not, the fault is mine. Marcus got different event IDs. Most event IDs are the same as the minigame IDs, except for property events and /onehitkill events that got different IDs (2 and 3 actually). Since there is a minigame with ID 2 and 3 (duels basically), Marcus thought the property event was a duel and therefore gave you a reward. The script told him to give out rewards if the minigame ID is the same as his event ID. I fixed that by making sure Marcus checks that the minigame ID is larger than 100 before he gives out any rewards, since he doesn't host any minigame event in those IDs anyway.
Hope this makes some sort of sense, kinda hard to explain.
