What did he do? Describe please: He is impersonating "Information". He's like giving wrong information and saying bad things about the players. I guess, that will make the newbies offend.

what he is doing is against the rules only if daniels is NOT okay with it. i will ask him ingame. either way its only a warning if he hasnt been reported for it before.

I personally asked everyone if they're okay with it before doing it.

The rule was added because management think that there needs to be a rule to prohibit this, but offenses prior to the addition of this rulebreak will not be considered so in your case the rule will not apply to you.

yes that rule was added and you have to follow it from now on, but you wont be punished for a rule that didnt exist when you committed this rule break!

what you did was also under the impersonation rule. which is using daniels name in chat. and the only time you are allowed to use another persons name in chat is when you have their permission. so the outcome of this report is up to daniels, but you will probably just a receive a warning if this report is accepted.

old rule that existed when this report was made:

"Impersonating: Impersonating includes using a name in the chat or on the server which differs only, from another already existing name owned by a VCMP player, with 0-3 letters (excluding a clan tag if it is registered in VKs) depending on the case. This rule does not apply if the staff doesn't find any similarity between the both names or if the person who is being impersonated is okay with it. Players that are caught breaking this rule should be offered a stats transfer and get warned, kicked or banned. If a player is impersonating an admin from the VKs staff or a VCMP developer (users in the Developers group on forum.vc-mp.org) then the severity is increased as it puts the server at risk and therefore a direct permanent ban should be issued."

new rule that was created as a result of this report:

"Fake messages: You're not allowed to create messages in the chat or in any place where you can put messages that makes it seem like it's from the server or from another player (unless that player gives you their permission or is okay with it). Anyone caught doing this should be verbally warned on the first offense and muted on the second offense. "


you are breaking the old rule if daniels is not okay with you using his name in the chat. do you get my point. only if daniels says im not okay with hunting making messages like then you will be punished. if daniels is your friend and is in on the joke, then its not a rule break and your report is denied.

and impersonating is very different than fake messaging

There was a flaw in the impersonating rule which means that if a player says another player’s name then it counts as impersonation according to our rules. If we punish Hunting in this case then we’ll have to punish many more people who may have broken this rule unintentionally due to the flaw which is not the suitable option. Therefore, report will be closed and we’ll soon update and resolve the flawed impersonating rule.
